PROGRESSIVE MULTIFOCAL LEUKOENCEPHALOPATHY IN PATIENTS WITH SARCOIDOSIS
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of the article by Jamilloux et al, the participant should be able to:
- State the cause and risk factors for the development of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML)
- Recognize that PML has been described in association with sarcoidosis
- Discuss the clinical findings, treatment outcomes, and prognosis from this case series of sarcoidosis-associated PML

- Discuss the findings from this study assessing the effect of acetazolamide on reversing periventricular white matter hyperintensities on MRI
- Discuss how the findings from this study suggest the pathophysiologic origin of the periventricular white matter hyperintensities in iNPH and the potential for assessment and development of pharmacologic therapies for this condition
