LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Marto et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss how treatment with endovascular therapy (EVT), when compared to best medical management (MM), was or was not associated with improvement in specific 90-day outcomes after anterior large vessel occlusion stroke in this study

  • Identify safety outcomes that were seen more commonly in patients with anterior large vessel occlusion stroke treated with EVT compared to those treated with MM in this study

  • Describe how the beneficial effect of EVT, compared to MM, differed based on the specific site of occlusion in patients with anterior large vessel occlusion stroke in this study
