PREDICTING COGNITIVE DECLINE IN AMYLOID-POSITIVE PATIENTS WITH MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT OR MILD DEMENTIA

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by van der Veere et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe how scores on the mini mental status examination (MMSE) changed over a 5-year period among patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in this study

  • Identify variables that were selected as predictors of cognitive decline in patients with MCI and mild dementia in this study

  • Describe how the predictive models developed in this study could be used to predict progressive changes in MMSE scores among patients with MCI and certain CSF β-amyloid levels
