INTERRATER RELIABILITY OF EXPERT ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHERS IDENTIFYING SEIZURES AND RHYTHMIC AND PERIODIC PATTERNS IN EEGS

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Jing et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify which classes of events on the ictal-interictal-injury continuum (IIIC) were most commonly associated with the largest proportion of well-calibrated experts (undercalling and overcalling findings at a rate of less than 20%) in this study
  • Describe how the percent agreement between pairs of experts differed across various types of IIIC events in this study
  • Discuss what types of IIIC events were most commonly identified as diverging opinions in place of seizure in cases of disagreement in this study
