LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of the article by Treadwell et al, the participant should be able to:
- Identify specific pharmacologic treatments for epilepsies in this study that the authors concluded could lead to seizure freedom in some infants
- Describe the study authors’ conclusions on the effectiveness and safety of vigabatrin for treatment of epilepsy in children aged 1–36 months
- Compare two different dietary treatments for epilepsy in children aged 1–36 months (ketogenic diet and modified Atkins diet) in terms of their relative effectiveness and safety found in this study
