EPIDEMIOLOGY, CLINICAL FEATURES, AND OUTCOME IN A COHORT OF ADOLESCENTS WITH CEREBRAL VENOUS THROMBOSIS

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Devianne et al, the participant should be able to:
  • Discuss the epidemiology of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), particularly differences between male and female adolescents, observed in this study
  • State the proportion of adolescents with CVT who displayed signs and/or symptoms of brain injury, as opposed to headache or raised intracranial pressure alone, in this study
  • Describe the clinical and imaging outcomes observed over a median follow-up time interval of 24 months amongst adolescent patients with CVT in this study, including how outcomes differed between female and male patients
