LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Hassan et al, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify common symptoms at the time of presentation reported by patients with a diagnosis of pure primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) in this study
  • Discuss how the time at which patients required a cane to assist with ambulation differed amongst the various phenotypes of PLS in this study
  • Describe how use of noninvasive ventilatory support over time was required by patients with PLS in this study
