SEX DIFFERENCES IN PREVALENCE OF DEPRESSION AFTER STROKE

Upon completion of the article by Dong et al., the participant should be able to:
Describe how use of medications for depression and self-reported history of depression without medication use differed at the time of stroke among men and women in this study
State the prevalence of depression at 90-days post-stroke—as defined by an 8-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-8) score of 10 or higher—among women in this study
Discuss how use of medications for depression at the time of stroke resulted in different rates of depression at 90-days post-stroke in men and women in this study
