ASSOCIATION OF OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS ON ADHERENCE TO COMMON NEUROLOGIC MEDICATIONS

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Reynolds et al, the participant should be able to:

  • State the degree to which increased out-of-pocket (OOP) costs impacted patient adherence to gabapentin and pregabalin for treatment of neuropathy in this study
  • Identify specific medications for which the OOP cost for a 30-day supply increased over the timeframe evaluated in this study
  • Discuss how patient race and ethnicity impacted medication adherence for three disease processes (neuropathy, dementia, Parkinson disease) evaluated in this study
