LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Malhotra et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss how dual antiplatelet pretreatment (DAPP) prior to IV thrombolysis in ischemic stroke was associated with risk of post-thrombolytic hemorrhage in this study
  • Describe how mortality and functional outcomes at 3 months post-thrombolysis for ischemic stroke were impacted by use of DAPP prior to thrombolysis in this study
  • Discuss how outcomes after thrombolysis differed according to which antiplatelet agents were included in DAPP prior to thrombolysis in this study
