NIHSS CUT POINT FOR PREDICTING OUTCOME IN SUPRA- VS INFRATENTORIAL ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Yoshimura et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss what pre-existent conditions were significantly more likely to be present in patients with supratentorial stroke than in patients with infratentorial stroke in this study
  • State what outcomes differed significantly between infratentorial and supratentorial strokes in this study
  • Discuss the differences between supratentorial stroke and infratentorial stroke regarding both prognostic cut point for poor clinical outcome and intracranial hemorrhage according to this study
