LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Aragon-Gawinska et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss the effect of age and SMN2 copy number on improvement in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Infant Test of Neuromuscular Disorders (CHOP INTEND) score found in this study
  • Discuss the effect of disease duration and SMN2 copy number on improvement in the Hammersmith Infant Neurologic Examination Part 2 (HINE-2) score found in this study
  • State the most common reason why patients were admitted to the hospital in this study
