REMOVING HIGH-FREQUENCY OSCILLATIONS: A PROSPECTIVE MULTICENTER STUDY ON SEIZURE OUTCOME

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Jacobs et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss how surgical removal of regions of high-frequency oscillation (HFO) was associated with postsurgical seizure outcomes in this cohort of patients who underwent epilepsy surgery
  • State the rate at which the removal or lack of removal of HFO regions was able to predict seizure outcomes in individual patients in this study
  • Describe what type of errors were made when HFO removal status was used to predict seizure outcomes in this study
