ASSOCIATION OF INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSM RUPTURE WITH SMOKING DURATION, INTENSITY, AND CESSATION

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Can et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe the association observed in this cohort between smoking status (both current and former tobacco use) and risk of intracranial aneurysm rupture
  • Discuss the impact of smoking duration, as measured as years of smoking, and smoking intensity, as measured by packs per day, on the risk of aneurysm rupture in this study
  • Discuss how smoking cessation affects the risk of aneurysm rupture among former smokers in this study
