EARLY SKIN DENERVATION IN HEREDITARY AND IATROGENIC TRANSTHYRETIN AMYLOID NEUROPATHY

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Masuda et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify which patients with hereditary transthyretin (TTR) amyloidosis are most likely to have lower levels of intraepidermal nerve fiber density according to this study
  • Describe patterns of skin amyloid deposition observed in this study in patients with hereditary TTR amyloidosis and in patients with iatrogenic TTR amyloidosis
  • Discuss the relationship between skin amyloid score and various clinical characteristics among patients with hereditary TTR amyloidsis
