CHRONIC MIGRAINE HEADACHE PREVENTION WITH NONINVASIVE VAGUS NERVE STIMULATION: THE EVENT STUDY

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Silberstein et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss changes in headache frequency in patients randomized to noninvasive vagus nerve stimulation (nVNS) compared to sham stimulation in this study
  • Discuss the safety of nVNS as a prophylactic treatment for migraine
  • Describe changes in safety and efficacy when nVNS is used on a longer term basis as a preventative treatment for migraine
