LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the article by Burneo et al, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe treatment patterns, including the rate of epilepsy surgery, for Canadian patients with medically intractable epilepsy
  • Identify the added risk of mortality among patients with medically intractable epilepsy
  • Describe predictors of patients with medically intractable epilepsy who are more likely to be treated with epilepsy surgery
